It may have been the NCO case I was thinking of...and it looks like instead of sanctions it was the order to pay costs after he backed out of a settlement agreement. This was the case where he agreed to settle for $1800 and it was conditioned upon his filing a dismissal- NCO went ahead and cut the check even though the Dismissal was not provided, and LK decided to reneg on the $1800 and stated he would then settle for $2500. NCO filed to enforce the settlement agreement and asked for costs...the Court agreed that the $665 put forth as costs incurred by NCO was reasonable. There is no indication as to whether those costs were ever paid.
If you read all of the filings on PACER, especially those associated with original creditors, you will see why LK is viewed by some in the web community as having given the
pro se litigant a bad name.
