Hi, My name is Qtip and I am an addict. Weit a minute this is not AA Never the less I will admit that I am a credit Junkie, been in the credit boards for about three years now. It has been quite a fun ride for me, went from not having any type of credit cards to over 200k in unsecured credit and purchased my dream home. Something that I would have tought impossible before.

No matter your ciscunstances, hang in there. Things can only get better and we are here to help you do just that!

Hi, I'm Hedwig and I'm also an addict. No, it's not AA, but maybe we should start a group for credit (or credit board) addicts.

I started reading at CreditNet about four or five years ago. We were refinancing the house and a chargeoff appeared on my husband's reports from a company called Coldata. I did a web search for them and found a credit board. I did some reading, and one day when I came back it had been made part of CreditNet. So I started reading there. I started with the first page and was going to read the entire board. At some point I started posting, then followed the current pages. I never finished the entire board.

After AoC was formed, I went there, and have posted on several boards since. When Qtip decided to reactivate this board as a replacement for AoC, I came here.

And the rest, as they say, is history.

As background, I went through some severe problems following a divorce. At some point I'll post details of how I paid off a lot of debt. I was fortunate to never be involved in a court action (from either side) and now my credit is very good. I was pretty well to the point that things were falling off before I found the boards. My husband had a BK about 15 years ago, and periodically something will pop up that shouldn't. Other than that, I'm here to help people from what I've learned either the hard way or by studying credit repair from multiple boards and dealing with lots of people over the years.

I have a background in business, so that viewpoint helps, too.

I just realized how much I wrote. Just introduce yourself, you don't have to write a novel!

Hey peeps, stop lurking and come on in and sat a spell. I'm here because I am just protecting my future and my livelyhood. You never give up any rights that are afforded to you or else you risk losing them.

I was driven to credit repair by my ignorance and NCO at the end of march,2006. I thought I was forever doomed to lousy credit and renting. My scores were in the low 500s.

I went to the bookstore looking for "Credit Repair for Dummies" but everything dealt with paying off credit card debt, budgeting, etc. I haven't been late on a payment in 3 years and have less than $5oo in CC debt. So I googled Credit Repair and found OTHER SITE.
I started with DB and have been reading every board I can find and I have culled the best advice from each board for my situation. I have used Flying's methods and the one-two punch and have cleaned many derogs off my report.
Buying a house may soon be an reality. My scores are in the high 600s
My focus now is raising my scores, paying on time and speading the gospel of credit repair.
Like any good follower of a 10-step program you keep what you got by giving it away.

Way to go, klinked. I'm sure you'll have that house soon.

Reading different boards is helpful. Each one has its own personality and develops certain favorite procedures to use. You've found out how to put them all together.

Ok, so I know a little about credit repair, but don't look behind the curtain.

The short version.

I found a CR site after searching on google, for what I don't know, and surprised I found anything at all. Learned about the basics and left the board over some silliness by the mods and "senior members". Went back under a different user name, and became a mod. Left again, and became a mod at a second site. Found out there were other sites like AOC, and CN, and started floating around learning as much as possible.

Recently became owner of the second site mentioned above, and have left several boards in between. I have decided to post on a few boards only, this being one, and working on improving my site.

Lurkers:

Come on out and ask some questions. There are some great people here who love to help people take control of their finances and credit.

I'm about to enter the Andy Duphrane letter writing stage. I'll post the story in general in a day or two.

I found the boards in a somewhat different manner of searching...and I don't recall whether it was AoC or CB that I found first, but I was on both of them circa July 2004 after having found myself the victim of ID theft for the second time. The first encounter was in the days before the internet was all the rage...the losses there were somewhat limited. However, losses the second time came in around $200K and followed a period where I had simply gone to primarily a cash-basis.

Third party agencies won't touch me and most of the OC's that were also victims have since removed their reporting. However, the mega-banks have still penalized me for their internal claims however errant they might be. As a result, I seek out those lenders that are outside the scope of those looking for "big bank" cards. I've also continued to obtain loans through a small credit union that does not report to any bureau, which keeps those loans hidden from any calculated DTI ratios that might get performed from the bureau reports.

Oh, God, not HIM! Anyone but HIM!

Hey, I was invited, what can I say?

Perhaps I can use this board to get in touch with my feminine side......you know, be "nice", stuff like that. However, that won't sit well with my Debt Collector persona.

So, uuhhhh......

....what do you guys do for fun? Besides conspire to sue collection agencies and extort our ill-gotten gains from us, I mean?

....just KIDDING !! I wouldn't want to get banned my first day on the board....

We'll help you get in touch with the inner you and the softer side of your person. In the words of T-boz, "Are you afraid to touch yourself?" Come on; let it out. Do you need a hug?
