I'm not real sure why we got stuck with TBS...their announcing crew sucks. This is at least the second game we will have had on there. I think that the ESPN contract for the basketball season has kicked in and they are committed to some of those games and I am guessing the FSU game for ESPN2 is one of those games that looked good before the season started...and...ordinarily, UT-TTU does not generate much interest outside of the State of Texas.

I think we have had this discussion before...they don't seem to know what to do if they don't dig an early hole. I do wonder if the defense has made it up to Lubbock yet, because it obviously missed the bus in time to get there in the first half.

And hopefully they watched the USC game and realize that they cannot wait until the last possession to win it...

The defense showed up. Maybe they are just not as good as some think (see Stewart Mandel upset special prediction CNNSI).

If Tech loses after being up 21, it will be almost as bad as the Michigan St - ND meltdown.

sloppy, sloppy win. If I am the OK State coach, I start this evening devising an extensive aerial game plan to exploit an obviously injury-weakened Texas secondary. I believe that Texas still showed that you aren't likely to get a whole lot trying to run against them...

They are fortunate that USC lost, so at least they won't lose too many of the voter points in the polls, especially with Michigan being less than impressive today. Hannah gets her wish and will see WVa move to #3 in the polls by default, given the USC loss.

It is beginning to look like whoever runs the table the rest of the season will be in the top two spots...the only glitch in that theory will be if Michigan and Ohio State played to a tie.

The door has been opened for a Michigan - Ohio St rematch assuming one runs the table and the other is a one loss team.

No way WVU gets in, the voters know better and want a game that won't be over in the first quarter.

WVU plays Louisville on Thurday night on ESPN. Whoever wins that game and wins out COULD play for the title. I'm pretty nervous about the Louisville game as they play in Louisville and they've had more time to study us. Only hope Rodriguez has a few tricks up his sleeve. We ARE going to score but so are they. It may be a game where the last possession determines the outcome.

I was impressed with Texas being able to come back last night but Tech should NEVER have tried to run the ball. They should have stuck to an air attack and they may have won it. I will say this much...that was my first look at Tech this year and my goodness their quarterback is gorgeous!!

As for VL's statement about WVU...guess we will just have to wait and see...
