Viruses in PDFs????

Can a virus be sent in the form of a PDF file somehow?

Lately...I have been getting a lot of spam with PDF files attached. I wonder who these nuts are.....they make me miss my friends at the Nigerian lottery.

iI'm getting hundreds of e-cards from folks all over the country that have PDF's attached. It is possible to click on the link and get a virus.

Hubby picked up a virus yesterday in an IM. Someone hacked into one of his suppliers accounts and sent it. He didn't think anything about it when he clicked on it, as he assumed it was brochures or something.

The little bastard hacker tried to get me next thru Hubby's IM's.

Spent all afternoon on international phone calls helping him clean up the mess he made.

That is an old virus that Enigma posted the link to, but like you, Spinn, I am concerned because I, too, am getting numerous spam emails with pdf's attached. I haven't opened any and am not getting a virus warning from Yahoo who scans for viruses, nor from my computer based anti-virus software. I have yahooed and googled and there seems to be nothing posted anywhere about any new pdf virus.

I just started getting those spam emails too. It says something like "You've got an e-card from a classmate" or "friend" or some other generic person. It's driving me nuts...
