Thanks. | Ok, I am still working on establishing my credit, but you never charge up more than a third of your limit [maxed out or high balances hurt your utilization scores] and you always pay it off right away.
Is crapital one the only good credit line you have?

| Since CrapOne won't report limits, you need to have a month where you let the bill reflect a balance near the limit. Just be sure to pay it off the following month so you don't get hit with their god-awful APR that they likely stuck you with. And knowing CrapOne, it is probably a card with a sub-$2K limit, so it shouldn't be a problem to pay off the following month...

Check out Chevron and Crown Jewelers.

| I'm not sure I would second a recommendation for Crown...too many reports on CB about the crap being sold by CJ not to mention that after a period of time, they have started charging an account inactivity fee in order to keep the account reporting. And also, if the account is not kept active, they are chopping the line that gets reported...
I'd be more inclined to recommend Hooters to someone looking for a relatively easy approval, and with the scores posted by OP, they would have a decent chance of getting the card with no fee.

And I did notice that they are not reporting my correct limit on my most recent reports...do I need to close my account?

| I think the OP needs to ask himself why he wants to build his creidt fast so he/she can get credit cards with high limits.
Crown Jewelers, are you kidding me?

| Your scores should be high enough to get in with Chase or one of the starter Amex cards provided your reports are fairly clean.

| I think Citi has some cards that are fairly easy to get, too. The AAdvantage (American Airlines frequent flyer) used to be, I don't know if it still is or not.
If you don't want American Airline miles, open it and then call and ask if you can convert to another card. I know this used to be how people got in to Citi, but as I said, I don't know if it stil works or not.

| It still works. The AA card doesn't report limit or high balance, though, so it always looks maxed. |

| Does Citi report limits on any cards? If so, after you get it, switch to one that reports.
I think people used to apply for the AAdvantage card, switch it to something else, apply for another one, and combine them to get limits up.

| Thanks all for your reply.
I have a clean report but only one credit card.
I want to build credit so that I can use it for my business. I don’t want to have a lot of inquiries because I want to apply for a business line of credit in a few montes.
Does anyone know where I can apply to Hooters? |

I see there are a few familiar faces from CB and CIC over here. Any other colors I can get on the page besides black? Anyone? |

| Click on User CP, and at the very bottom there is a thing where you can change it. I've never tried it, not sure if it works.

I can see a tab at the bottom left which allows three choices ranging from dark blue to midnight. I'll deal with it. Hey OP have you tried some of the credit unions in your pursuit of higher credit limits? With mid 600 FICO's I should think you could get something from Penfed or if you are eligible I would definitely try Navy Federal. There are a few others that offer fairly high starting limits. I have a 7 year old BK 7 and Penfed and Navy were generous with me. I consider myself lucky that Chase and Citi even gave me puny sockdrawerable initial lines. I'd give the CU's a shot before burning probable Experian inquiries on the large banks like Chase and Citi. |

cool! I have to do some work with the templates as they got messed up after the last vbulletin upgrade. I love Penfed, very good suggestion indeed. Patelco is not too bad with credit lines either.
