| Welcome to the board. Make sure you've ordered copies of your reports from the three bureaus, not just the online trimerge reports.
Then read the essentials, and post your questions in the credit forum. Someone will be along to help!!

| Have done that, and had two errors fixed. It did take a little time but it is done. Equifax seems to be the hardest to deal with, as there is no phone number to use to talk to a living breathing human being. Transunion on the other hand was easy to deal with. I got to speak with someone and within 2 wks. I had hard copy proof of issue resolved. I will again send reg. sign on reciept letter to Equifax to get the issue on that report resolved. Thanks for help so far. |

| HELLO This is my first post today. My credit scores are in the mid 500s, but on the rise as I have been able to pay off several student loans!!
I'm not sure where I need to post my question, but I was wandering if anyone would share their experiences on dealing with seasoned tradelines. Is this the same as "piggybacking?" If so, doesn't FICO ignore these types of accounts?
Thanks in advance!!! |

Thanks in advance!!! | Hi, any questions you have should be placed in the credit forum, but if I may suggest....start reading and don't stop! You'll start to get a feel for things once you understand more about consumer rights and laws.
Oh and BTW....take your shoes off and welcome to the site!

| Hello Hello,
Its been a long battle with the collection vultures every time I think I am above water another swoops in...
my husband had triple by-pass 3 years ago and he is self-employed and as you know NO ONE will work with you so therefore I have fell behind and as I said with him being self-employed with his job sometimes he is out of work or cannot work due to the weather... well I have had 2 judgements on me so far I am making monthly payments I have no job I have never missed a payment. One willingly took $25 It'll take some time to pay but they at least are not charging me monthly interest they are taking the $25 off my debt.
The first vultures Weltman Weinberg and Reis are charging me over 25% interest and the $100 bucks a month is doing nothing according to them I in my records with court costs and interest the judge put on there that day that is how the legal work reads he just charged me interest for 3 days but weltman interprets it another way. I only owe another 1200 bucks but according to them the almost $4000 I paid them is still intact nothing deducted well that was a year ago they refuse to send me updated credit and debits to the account. I have sent at least 4 letters now requesting that!
I know anyday I will have at least 2 or 3 more probably taking me to court I just catch a break I written letter after letter beggin these people to work with me... they send letters back saying please call us to discuss this after I tell them I do not believe in discussing these matters via telephone due to so many people misinterputing what is said. I ask if I can record the conversations and they hang up. Any honest company would let me...
I do not work due to health reasons unfortantely I do not qualify for SSID I have not worked in the period of time requested by them... I encuring new health problems this past summer and because of that my husband had to miss work and there again I fell behind.... We have 4 children they come before bills! I have no clue what my credit scores are but I am very sure they are as low as they can be... I have gotten my husbands credit score up some I finally after 4 years got 2 tax liens off his credit report a state said he had worked in that time period and he had not and finally I got it off this spring! Thanks for your time and any help you can be I will gladly take your help!! Thanks to Pale Rider for recommending this site to me he has been a great help in the past Collection mess. |

| Glad to see you made it over here. You may want to start a thread on each account you are having trouble with, so we can break them down and keep all the different issues straight. I'm sure we can come up with a plan to get you on the right path. |

| Welcome to the site! As PR said, go to the credit forum and start some threads there. Break it down sowe can work the individual accounts.
You need to get your credit reports, hard copies from each agency instead of the online reports. We can attack some of the ways they report, and make sure everything is reporting correctly.
You should also start reading in the credit essentials forum while you're waiting to get your reports.
Again, welcome to the site. Take off your shoes, put your feet up, and set a spell.

| Welcome!!!
Keep reading, and post your questions on the credit forum. You got your reports--that's the first step. And you are admitting that you have a problem. That's a big step, too.
So, take off your shoes, get comfortable, and join us.

| Hi everyone Wow this is a great site. You guys are funny & helpful---nice combo.
Well I am not a credit junkie but I guess I am a recovering relationship junkie, age 55. I've probably made close to my mil in life but I get in relationships, give away my power & money (ruin my credit) and then wonder why my life doesn't work. Whew---glad I'm over that!
Now I am cleaning up my credit for the second and last time. I will have questions because it's been 12 years since I went through the process----some of the rules may have changed.
Right now I have been searching for a personal loan with a FICO of 575---insufficient credit history I am told. One year of good history---before that I was flying under the radar so to speak. I do have a couple of dings from 2-3 yrs back on my report.
So I found a company called XXXXXXXXX. It is at that addie. They guarantee you get the amount you need (about 14% int)with their lenders. There is a finders fee which they state on their site is returned if their lenders don't deliver.
Anyone worked with them. I have got to get at least $5000 right away---medical recovery issues.
Thanks! Any info would be great.
Mel

| Hi Roy,
I tried to post a question on the credit repair forum but a message came up that I cannot post to that forum---not registered or something like that. I activated my registration.
Can you give me a suggestion?
Thanks,

| If you have to pay a finder's fee for a loan up front, there's something that doesn't smell right and I hope you are not attempting to spam that site here. Any loans of that nature are illegal in WV. No offense.
