My credit is now......B !!

A significant improvement over the last year or so of paying original creditors and writing letters and disuputing like hell -thanks to the info and assistance on this forum.

I recently called the local cable company to treat myself to dsl, and was shocked to hear that I had to pay a $150 deposit, because my credit was.... B.

No where on this companys ad does it say 'subject to credit approval or deposit required.'

wtf ??

Also, is B credit good enough to apply for a credit card now?
I am trying to get one with a small limit, just to be able to access for emergencies.

Alphabetical Credit ratings don't tell you alot. Do you know your FICO scores? Also, what sorts of baddies are left and how old are they?

Hi there,
I dont know my current FICO score.

Last year it was 435, I had 15 negatives/3 positives.

Now I have 9 negatives/3 positives.

So theres significant improvement.....

The rest are medical bills...from 2002 to 2005.
According to another post on this forum, its illegal for them to deny you credit because of medical bills, but its happening!

I have about that many negatives, NO medicals, and still get denied. Are the rejections stating it is the meds that are causing your denial? Could be other derogatory items.
