| I use them to pay my electric bill, and a credit card that does not take e-payments. I can't remember them ever pulling my credit. https://mycheckfree.com/br/wps?rq=lo...96239&sp=10001 |

| They pulled one this week under account reviews-I don't have an account with them to my knowledge.
From your web site it says the consumer request the service which I didn't. Its the same company they are out of Dublin, OH. |

| Do you pay anything through a bill-pay service? Even if it's your bank, they may use Check Free to process it, especially if they're a smaller bank.

| No, I don't use e bill paying for anything. They pulled a soft report under account reviews.
The only thing I can think of but it still doesn't answer why they pulled my report is the household bills are in my name, electric, water, phone. My roommate pays the bills from her checking account, I pay her my half.
Guess I will call and find out. |

| Check Free does a lot more than just the online billing stuff. Some of their press releases on the corporate side of the site give an idea of just how much of the financial sector they are involved with...

Guess I will call and find out. | That's there PP right there. With all the security requirements that financial institutions need to comply with; they probably saw the account was in a name that was being paid from another account.
Just my 2 cent opinion here, if the bills are in your name, and your roommate fails to pay, you are the one that will have to deal with the consequences.
Further, if there is a billing problem with your roommates bill pay provider;, you will have no recourse against them.
