I have no bank account, little money, and bad credit. I need a credit card for small emergencies because I have 4 kids. I want a very small limit (like 200.00 or so). Its really frustrating when kids get sick ect.. and I cant get the things I need for them when I need to.

Your choices are a prepaid card that acts like a checking account except that you can't write checks or a secured card from Capital One that requires a $200 deposit. Capital one allows you to make payments on the deposit and will approve you for a $200 limit when your account balance reaches 200. With a Capital One secured card, you will improve your credit rating and will eventually be able to have an unsecured card if you make regular payments.

There are more that a few lenders who specialize in credit cards for people with bad credit. You just have to look a little harder than most people have to.

And getting a card after you've had a few problems doesn't necessarily mean that you have a higher than normal rate. Like I said, you'll just have to compare between credit lines, yearly fees, and interest percentages. Just make sure you do your homework BEFORE you commit, and you'll be fine.
