I know that banks have all kinds of internal policies and they don't rely exclusively on one's credit score. Person A may be approved by bank X with a 700 score and Person B may be rejected by the same bank, with an 800 score. I'm wondering where to apply with my ~735 score yielded by two Capital One cards (one is 3 years old, 4k limit; one is 1 year old, 1k limit; both 0 balance). If you recently applied for a card, please share your experience here - let us know your credit situation and outcome. For example:
Applied for: ____ Card at ____ Bank
Approved for: $ ____ (or not approved)
Credit Score: ____
Number of recent inquiries: ____
Brief description of credit file: ___________________________________
I think this information will also be useful for future applicants who need a new card but don't want to apply and fill their reports with junk cards.
Thanks, |

| Sounds to me like you want to reinvent the wheel...what you seek is essentially already in existence in the CreditPulls database. It is a far more complete database than we could hope to produce here just based on sheer numbers, and for the data you seek to reproduce, number of entrants makes for a more complete product. Let us not forget also that your little mini-form ignores one of the more significant questions which is location and bureau pulled.
And given that you are wanting (allegedly) to refinance a subprime loan, your better bet would be to pursue a refi through your local bank as opposed to hoping someone might approve you for a high limit, 0%BT.
Maybe I am being a little cynical, but when someone who just joined starts with posts like this, I have to wonder how long before you try and slip in a spam link to your referral site...

| There are a couple places that have very good databases for credit cards; Credit Pulls Database
You must be a member of credit boards to access their database. There where some others but cannot think of them. |

| Taking Centex's post a little further; you could only finance your vehicle in the sub-prime market because of a low credit score.
If your credit score has improved sufficiently for you to qualify for "prime" credit card with generous limits, then you would qualify for a refinance at a "prime" rate.

| Oh well, Centex, usually uninformed people are the ones who try to reinvent the wheel. I simply didn't know that such databases already existed (the ones suggested by Qtip and Ruby are quite good), otherwise I wouldn't have asked. Now, of course, there are people who ARE informed but they STILL try to reinvent the wheel... I call them [fill_in_the_blanks]
My subprime car loan doesn't even show up on my credit report. It has an obscene interest rate and it's most likely on a Rule-of-72 structure.
And Centex, what is that a "spam link"? Is it some sort of ground ham fitted in sheep intestines? Does it (allegedly) taste good? |

Allegedly. | Flicks please do not take personal the link comment, we have had a recent influx of people spamming the forum and they usually start with basic questions and the next thing you know they post a big link to xyz site.
I cannot blame you for being on the defense and hope that if you are looking to share or learn about credit issues you continue to participate on the forum!
Welcome to the site by the way! |
