| Aloha from Hawaii. Just wanted to tell everyone my story Aloha Forum!
I found this forum a few days ago and i have been reading up on everything everyone has posted. I run a Computer repair shop out here in Hawaii for the past 2 years or so. I have never needed business credit until a few months ago as we got into the local phone book and now business is booming....
So here's my story!
My personal credit sucks, 570 or so and very slowly going back up.
My business was registered in 2/2006 just registered it as a sol p....
A few weeks ago i had to re-register so nice its getting busy i registered my corp. (inc)
So now i am a Corporation, that part was easy. Now i only wish i did this years ago however what can you do...
When i first registered my business i got my D&B number right away, ans they tried to make me pay for their service, however i didn't see the need.
Everything i got was on my personal credit cards, never even though of looking for a place like Quil or any other business credit.
Since finding this site, i have signed up for the following:
Staples = Approved with no PG
Office Max = Decline (need PG)
Shell = Decline (need PG)
Home Depot = Decline (need PG)
Quill = Approved with no PG - First order for 175.00
reliable = Approved with no PG - First order 37.00
(note, my Paydex (hope i spelled it right) score is NR) because i need 4 credit accounts on d&b and for the past 2 years i have only had 2 (paid on time etc)
So i am going to wait for these orders to come in and i am going to send out a check the next day to pay them in full.
My plan with the staples card is if my credit line is 250+ going to order soemthing the costs around that, hold on to it for 25 days and then return it.
I believe by doing that i can build credit that way, however i wont do it all of the time, i will do it like once every other month or so, but i will always spend the most i can to show paid on D&B.
I hope in the next few months i will get my score to 75+ so i can apply for a normal business credit card and not have to worry about tiring to get credit anymore.
My goal out of all of this is, i would like to open store in the local mall, however i need a way to buy computer, software , hardware etc, so i really have to build some good business credit.
Thanks for listing! |

Thanks for listing! | I need you help. In March of 2008, I just formed an LLC named Cheapscape, LLC. I have a D&B number, but I think I signed up for a Government Contractor or Vendor D&B number. Which that was the advice I received on this board. Stating that if you wanted you D&B number faster then sign up as a Government Contractor or Vendor.
I work out of my home, and I am trying to get a Business phone line that will NOT have my home address listed. That seems to be impossible. They will only list my home address, and send my bill to my UPS Mailbox number. Is that ok for them to so? Also if I wanted to get an VoIP phone, how do I get a Buisness interent phone listed on the 411 National Directory? I have read that you have to be in the 411 National Directory. I did the Listyourself.net and have my cell phone and UPS Mailbox address listed. Now when I 411 on my Sprint cell phone, Cheapscape, LLC is listed, but when I do it on my land line 411, it is NOT listed. So I am confused. How does this work? And again, why is it important to have a number listed on the 411 Directory. Is there such a thing as the NATIONAL 411 directory, or are there separate carriers national 411 directory. If I get listed on 1 directory, do I have to get listed on other 411 directories? Or will on carrier 411 National directory be enough? If I don't want to get a new Business lane line in my home, then what is the Next best thing to do so I can have my phone on the 411 Directory? Will my cell phone be enough? Do I need to be in the White pages or Yellow Pages? Are the White pages enough?
Again, when should I start applying for Net 30 accounts, then when do I start applying for revolving accounts? And then when do I start applying for Credit cards like CitiBank. One post on here stated that he had like 6 trade lines open, then he just got approved for a CitiBank CC with a $4000 limit with ng. How do I do this? Please give me a time line and some contact info of these companies that work well with new LLC's... Thank you for your WISDOM...It is much appreciated.
I pray you respond...thank you again!
Be Blessed,
Pastorjmark
