I have no title

One of my cr's is showing an inquiry made by a place CITBank/Bill Me Later. I have no idea who this is and because I haven't applied for credit with anyone in probably 7 years I know they have no business pulling my cr.

Do I write the cra and ask why they thought this place had permissable purpose and do I also write the CITBank place and ask what the heck they think they are doing?

Is it a soft inquiry or a hard inquiry?

And, are you sure you have not attempted to use any of the six month deferred billing options available on some websites? BML does almost all of the 90 and 180 day without interest options for A LOT of major websites.

Hey Centex,

It is a hard inquiry. No, haven't bought anything and used deferred billing. I do buy a lot online but I use my debit card for that, paying in full.

you can go to the BML website and do some digging...I forget what was involved to create the user account- its been too long since I set up my online access.

They do have contact information on the website, but I have no idea whether it is someone in the US or if you have to get offshorians to understand the concept of an inquiry question...

It actually isn't a bad line to have since it remains a hidden line of credit...great for airfare if you don't have a rewards card to put it on since you can then defer the travel expense for 180 days. And, sometimes, even with a rewards card, it is convenient to simply be able to hide the expenses...

Contact Citi - not the CRA.

Citi has nothing to do with it...she is talking about CIT (the same people that do the Dell financing).
