No one is sure that it will work. Everything before the paragraph beginning "the process may take several months" is pretty much what others I have read about do.
You do not have to lie to have a bk notation investigated. It is your right to ask to have things verified for accuracy.
However, if it is removed from your reports does not mean it is removed from public record. I say this because many applications (including mortgages) at least used to ask if a BK had been filed in the last xxx years. You can't deny it because it isn't on your cr. It can still be found.
