Trying to Fix My Credit - Advise Needed

Hello, my name is Jonathan. I am new to the message board and this is my first post.

I have some accounts on my credit report that went delinquent about 5 years ago. Two more years and they should be falling off. I am aware that SOL is 6 with a contract and 3 years w/o contract in AZ.

My goal is to repair my credit and have a good score. The question is what is the best method to accomplish this. Here is what I plan to do to fix my credit:

1) Send disputes / validation requests to all accounts and see what is wiped off. Some questions on how to go about this are overwhelming though. Do I send only to CRA, CA, or both. If I have received the initial debt collection letter and have not responded within the 30 day period from one company am I still able to dispute this debt? Please let me know the best way of going about this validation / dispute phase. Do I dispute / request validation with one credit report at a time or all three at once? If only one at a time do I then have to dispute a removed debt with the other 2 credit reports? Where is the best place to keep an updated record of credit reports? Is there a site that I can sign up with to have reports on demand. Or do I have to pay money every time I want to see an updated credit report? This forum mentions having copies of dispute / validation letter templates, what is the location of these documents?

2) I want to start building credit, so that when everything wipes off I will be able to have credit established. The conflict is that if I start applying for credit my location of employment will be placed on my credit report. This will give CA motivation to place a judgment on me for the last year of SOL. Should I wait the additional year on this before going to apply for a car loan or revolving credit? I do have a small revolving CC for a store charge in the mall. I am planning on putting a small balance on this to have some payment history. Is there credit cards that I would be able to obtain without giving away my place of employment, or can I apply with my title, rather than place of employment?

3) I also have some judgments on my credit report. I have never been served for any of them. Some are from out of state and I have no idea what they are for? What method can I use to dispute these?

I have done some reading on this forum and see a lot of knowledgeable people. I am glad I have found a place where I can find help to get to the bottom of this mess I have ended up in. I look forward to hearing from you and being a part of this message board. It is cool that there is a place like this. Sorry for all the questions on my first post. I think this is pretty normal on this forum though.
