San Diego Child Support

Had a question, I am paying child support (no complaints about that). However, I have been paying the required amount since I have been in the military. Ultimately, I have also been paying 100 extra each month for arrears. I have never noticed any dent being made into the back-balance. I know there is interest and such, however, I made some noise about this and received an email stating that apparently now the 100 each month will be deducted from the overall balance. Do you believe this 100 may have just been collected without actually being registered, so-to-speak? I have been paying for over a year each month. Recently came back into the military.

It is hard to say, but I would not put anything past them.

A friend of mine was separated from wife for a year, during this time he had custody of their kid and he filed for support. He got back together with her and dropped the support case. They took her income tax return 2 years in a row and it took them one more year to get their money back and straighten things up. Heck they even trashed her credit file...

Stay on top of them and make sure they apply the money the way they are supposed to.
