Sagres company?

I ran a search here and didn't come up with anything, but I did see where they have a bond that has been on file for better than five years.

A client got a notice of an acquired debt now being serviced by The Sagres Company, which shows to be based in La Jolla, CA.

Obviously we have a letter that will be going out, but I was wondering whether anyone here has had past experiences with them or knew who their counsel of record happened to be. I have not checked PACER yet to see how active the filings against them might happen to be...

There is not much on PACER, and what little I did find was mostly prior to 2001. But the MO then seemed to be OOS debt packaged in letters claiming purchase directly from the OC...not unlike may exist here. Client in this case has no knowledge of the amount or account in question...

The system kicked me before I finished. Since getting in trouble with the SEC, it seems Mr. Ferris is seeking sainthood.

I cannot find a general counsel listing.
