Collection letter, lets count violations!

I was blessed today with this letter, it is first contact with the CA. Can you count the violations.

PS. there is not validation mumbo jumbo on the back either except for california. Weird but true

Well assuming the validation notice is not on the reverse... that's three (3) violations of 1692(g)... also assuming they have not mailed a validation notice 5 days from the date of that letter.

I checked about three days ago and they where not reporting then. I already have the validation letter ready to mail out tomorrow.

Yes, there are multiple violations in the letter, but thus far I see only FDCPA violations which in translation = $1000.00. If you just received the letter then I would wait about two weeks or so and then send them a DV. You want them or rather you want to give them opportunity to violate some more.

I agree. Wait two weeks to see if you get your statutorily required validation notice. That's a good class action letter.

Make sure that you have the recorder hooked up in case you need it fast because it seems like they will add to this. So just sit back, put your feet up, and sat a spell.
