Collection Agency Advertising Flat Rating

I was doing some research on another collection agency and found a web page for a CA named Absolute Credit LLC. where they actually advertise flat rate services. You can see it here.

It is just absolutely incredibly that CA's advertise these kind of illegal services.

It looks like they are overshadowing as well. The second letter says payment must be received before the 30 day violation....I mean validation....period is up.

I thought flat rating only applied to attorneys whom perform no meaningful review of an account?

I don't see the link as a necessarily illegal service. I'm assuming that the phone drones at the CA just don't call the debtor morning noon and night.

It all would have to do with the content of the letter and whether the FDCPA notices were there. The 2nd letter is definitely all about the timing.

This was interesting - if the creditor fills out the form:

Check the box below to indicate that you have accurately described the past due account being placed for collection letter service, and to verify that you have supporting documentation for this delinquent debt

Well also according to the commentary from the FTC it my not be illegal if they perform other service in the collection of the debt.

The performance of other tasks associated with collection (e.g., handling verification requests, negotiating payment arrangements, keeping individual records) is evidence that such a party is "participating in the collection."

It was just an interesting find. I have nothing placed with this company, but I would like to see one of their letter.
