after wrote off account, i received a collection letter from first ca. within 30 days, i sent a val let after initial collection letter. ca sent old statements and some more collection letters. two weeks ago i received a collection letter from a 2nd ca. ca has been leaving voice messages. Today ca's first message didn't "appear" to be leaving a message to me, but speaking to an associate saying "it's acebo, he's playing games. Not to worry, because we are taking him down." and hung up. the second message today was the same ca, saying how urgent it was for me or my attorney to call back today and the usual other stuff.
i'm assuming that the voice mail would still be considered a threat, even thought the message wasn't "directed" to me. i know to save the tape and all, but it seems, at least to me, more serious than a usual violation. i shouldn't be in shock, but to threaten someone on their voice mail, just seems like the height of stupidity.
