I received a letter from a law firm stating I owed money for medical services; however, the collector in question has not reported this to any credit bureau. I responded CRRR demanding validation. Today, I received a summons for the money claimed to be owed by the same firm that sent the collection letter originally. The complaint was filed after receipt of my validation letter. (I assume this is their response letter)
I'd like to respond to the summons and file a counter-claim for violation of the FDCPA. Do I have a claim?
