| I'm of the "inquiries are a record of fact" school of thought.
While you can sue for a non-pp, that doesn't mean the pull didn't happen, and thus the record of that would continue to exist. |

| Unless you really have a lot of inquiries in the past year, your score isn't affected very much. In fact, after six months they normally don't count very heavily. How many do you have and how old are they?
You realize that only "hard" inquiries (those seen by others) affect your score, don't you? Ones pulled for things like account reviews have no effect on the score.

| If you want inquiries removed from Equifax, you can just call them and dispute them. They usually remove them the same day, for experian there is no easy way to remove them. The only time I seen them remove inquiries was when someone from another board was a victim of ID Theft. For TransUnion I believe that bumpage still gets the job done but it takes a little time to get items removed that way. |

| Are you applying for a mortgage, car loan, or any other credit in the near future? If not, don't worry about your score.

You have 20 per Credit reporting agency or 20 altogether between the three agencies?
If it is twenty per credit reporting agency then I can see why you would want some off, as stated before if you want some of Equifax, call them and dispute about three to four inquiries per day. Bumpage is the only way to remove TransUnion and that will take you at least 2 months of pulling your report on a daily basis. |

| At most, inquiries + new accounts = 10% of your score. At most. |

When you are pushing for a mortgage that 10 percent difference can equate thousands of dollars! I personally would not advocate bumpage as it can lead to split credit file, but EQ is a no brainer. I do agree that inquiries does not impact the score as heavily as other items. |

| That's why I asked the question. A lot of people worry about their score (I once pulled my report every day and tracked it) when they don't need to. Why should I care what my score is right now? I'm not planning on buying a house or car or applying for any more cards. So it doesn't matter. In six months the effect will mostly be gone.
That's why I asked the OP how old the inquiries are. And why do you need the score to go up? Just to go up, or are you planning a major purchase?
So, how old are the inquiries and how soon do you plan to make a major purchase?
Also, how many accounts to you have and how old are they? If you have good history and a good mix of accounts in good standing, it seems like inquiries don't affect the score much. I had three come off and it made one point difference. If I had one or two accounts that were only a year or so old, it might have made more difference.
Depending on the history, there may be other ways to increase the score. What is your score, and what is your goal and why (house, car, etc).

| With equifax I simply do an online dispute saying I did not request credit from this companyy, which is true. It has worked almost every time with EQ and maybe 65% of the time with the others.
Rmember that when refi-ing the middle score is the one taken so one of your scores can be low and it wont be looked at. |
