I would think they could get the records from the phone company pretty easily to see if the calls were made. If so, the jury should award him a ton of money.

I didn't read the case, but it depends on what kind you get.

It's just an article about the case. It hasn't gone to trial yet. The Appeals Court just said it could go to trial. A lower court had dismissed it.
