| Oh, I forgot to mention...this isn't a CA ....this is a JDB and they introduce themselves by saying..."We are your new creditor."
They don't know who they are messing with do they?

| I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of Being and ideal Grace.
...probably not the poem you were thinking of. |

...probably not the poem you were thinking of. | Sometimes my humor is metaphorical as I meant this as a pun to tell the JDB....how many violations is how much I love them.
And don't forget this is the longest bday party I've ever had and I'm still partying
Ok...I've got some more research to do...so I can give them a nice long rope to swing by.

You will need to check your state statute to see if a debt buyer is considered to fit the definition of a "creditor" in WA.
Some questions: Does or did your wife owe the alleged debt to the original creditor? When was the last payment to the original creditor made in which said alleged debt was current?
Washington:
STATE: WASHINGTON
Interest Rate
* Legal: 12%
* Judgment: 12%
STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS (IN YEARS)
* Open Account: 3
* Written Contract: 6
* Domestic Judgment: 10
* Foreign Judgment: 10
BAD CHECK LAWS (CIVIL PENALTY)
Lesser of check amount or 12% interest, collection costs up to $40. If taken to court, reasonable attorney fees, 3 times value, or up to $300.
GENERAL GARNISHMENT EXEMPTIONS
Greater of 75% or $64 week (40 x state min. hourly wage).
