| Doing my own credit repair, am i doing it correctly? Hi, to everyone
I recently started on doing my own credit repair and thought that i mite post what did to see if i am doing it correctly.
I reiceved a Credit report from my lender which was provided by Kroll Factual DATA,
I reviewed the credit report and found several errors on it, including some collection accounts that i had no knowledge of since i had paid those accounts on time with my health insurance which i have reicept of.
So i went ahead and typed up several letters to all three credit bureaus, Disputing the items, giving them just enough information, but not a whole story.
I attached my Drivers License, a Utility Bill and my Kroll Factual Data Report.
I sent those letters via Certified Mail.
About 7 days ago, i reiceved a letter from equifax telling me they couldnt locate my credit file asking me to purchase one from them.
Then about 8 days ago i got a letter from experian, telling me the same thing that i should purchase a report from them.
I am confused and one of my questions is the following:
Can i Dispute items on my Credit with a copy of my Kroll Factual DATA Tri-merge Credit Report which was pulled less than 12 days ago and what should i do if they send me this stuff asking me to buy their credit reports?
Thanks for any help/tips. |

| The three CRA will not investigate the data pulled from a tri-merge. You can use your rights under FACTA to get your reports at no cost.

| One note - if you get your report via your free report at the link Enigma provided, they have 45 days (as opposed to 30) to complete any investigations. Some states allow you one free report per year, which I don't believe fall under the FACTA 45 day guidelines.
On your Kroll report, is there a report number for your Experian report?
