Repairing credit in 24 hours

Hello

Everybody, this is real estate girl.

I have a question?

I was talking to a lady from equifax and she inform me that you dispute all neg items on your credit report and temporlarly boost your credit score up in 24 hours and buy things such as a house, car ect.....while those items are been investigated.

If you do that you have 30 days to purchase whatever you need before they reapeer on you credit and by doing this some items can be removed for good

It that true? help I need a house bad

Welcome to the board!!

When they investigate, it should be marked in dispute. But many will come back in less than 30 days. You would also need to have the timing so that you worked all three bureaus at the same time.

Also, lenders often pull another score just before closing. In fact, most real estate agents will tell you not to buy much before you close, as the balances affect your score.

You are better off to get hard copies of each report and start working on the negatives. Order your reports, and while you're waiting for them read as much as you can on this board. Start with the credit repair essentials. Then when you get your reports, you'll be ready to post more specific questions in the credit forum.

You don't want to take a gamble, get a contract and mortgage approval, then just before you are ready to close get a call from the mortgage company that your score has changed so much that they're not going to go through with the mortgage.

Welcome to the site, I will move this question to the credit forum, so that you can get more attention.

Thanks

In the good old days, the tradeline would be hidden completely and you would get a nice increase in score. It has been a while since I disputed on Equifax, but last time the tradelines stayed there and the score did not change. The other problem with this theory is finding a lender that would only use Equifax report and score to loan on a house. I have heard of lenders using 2 of the 3, but never just 1 for a home loan.

That's right. That's why I said you'd have to time it with all three. They usually pull all three for a mortgage and use the middle score.
