Ignor drivel as he is institutionalized. See the bars on his avatar.
Save that message and put it in the vault.

So, roybean, why does that message belong in the vault? Point out the violations to us.

The simple fact that keeping records, documents, voice messages, dates, times, etc are essential in any CA matter. You never know...he may need to prove that the call was made. Never, ever discard any documentation!
BTW...the threat to take action that is not intended or is not legally viable as well.

Well Rat Farts! I already pressed "7" - Sure wished T-Mobile statements showed outside calls to voicemail. Didn't think anything of it since the vile, wicked collections caller said "potential" legal matter.

Miranda?
Just received their dunning letter. This is for a old business advertising debt. The letter says I have 10 days to send payment or they will resume collection activity. But no "If you dispute..." Is that required on only consumer credit collections?

Neil, looks like the vault is now broken beyond repair...if it's a business debt, it's not subject to the FDCPA. Are they reporting on your CR (and if so, correctly)?

For business debts you'l have to check your state laws. Is it your business debt that you are personally responsible for?

I am a sole proprietor, so I incurred it for yellow pages ads. It is not on my report. Sending a DV letter anyway.

depends - I was pressured into additional services that I really did not want or need. I told them this later after I realized what happened.

The standards that a businessman or woman are held to are much more than that of a consumer. Meaning a business person is supposed to have some "savvy".
Have you tried to negotiate a settlement with the YP company. Often times they will settle for about 50 cents on the dollar.
Since you are a SP you are in a tight spot. Because all liability falls on you as the person. If they sue, and if they obtain a judgment, your personal assets could be at some risk.
