Anyone had success disputing paid collection w/factoring violations?

If you couldn't tell the FDCPA violations, for showing an account as factored, are top of list for me right now and I'm eager to use the new tactic against the Man.

My wife has a paid collection w/Midland and it says "paid", but in the current status it says open. How can a paid collection be open? What a bunch of morons. Anyway, I want it gone so I was thinking that I could dispute the factoring thing along w/the "open" status and have it deleted. Anyone have any success w/that? If you did, do you have the letter you used? Thanks.

Yes, I've had success doing that. Look in the AOC files and there is post by TowerRat that shows how your reports should read.
