| My Process Server I know this is probably a no brainer, but I recently filed another case and I sent the complaint and summons to a process server that I have been using for the last couple of years....a couple of days after I mailed it I called (like I usually do) and I got a recording saying that the phone is temporarily not in service.
So I waited a couple more days thinking that, "Well, maybe they were late paying the bill." I called back and the phone is still disconnected.
I tried the fax number and it is completely disconnected...their website is still up and the they are still listed in my state directory of process servers. However, today I called some state agencies to inquire and they said, "Has your summons been served?" I said, "No," and they said, "If you sent payment they must serve your complaint." They said they'd get back to me after they did some investigating.
Isn't it odd that they just went off the grid like this? As I said, I have been using them for a couple of years; they pick up my complaints, I have mailed my complaints to be served, and I have faxed complaints to be served and I have never had a problem and now this???

| It could be a lot of things from the server dying to a family emergency to them just deciding to move. If your complaint hasn't been served, perhaps you need to put a stop on your payment method for the service and hire a new one.

I can trace the money order, but it's just odd.
I've imagined all of the above. Maybe someone got hurt, an emergency, or new business name, etc. but when you're doing business you're suppose to leave a message, post a note, something...I don't wanna cause trouble and then find out someone is in the hospital or something. I talk to the person who runs things a lot, except for the last few months because I hadn't needed their service.
I'll give it until Monday and just have someone else serve the complaint.
