Sounds like Kaka, no way in hell anyone can do anything about their credit in a week much less a day.

About the fastest method I have see to correct information is, when you are doing a realstate transaction and they correct a listing after you prove it and pay about 30 bucks "I think" per item per report. Even when doing this, it takes longer than a week.

Did you purchase this book? HEck maybe I will buy so that we can all learn toghether

The site is informative...and the eBook is only $12.95. Thats a small price to pay for some potentially helpful info.

Qtip, did you subscribe for the free email tips? I did, and got the 1st tip today. It said that mortgage brokers can speed up the credit reporting process, they have the authority to do so. Then again, every time they do an inquiry it shows up. So, what is the point?

Hmmmm. But why do they have special priviledges to my information? Shouldnt I as the consumer and the owner of my information, be allowed to access/verify/update my file in the same manner? Why are the rules different for me, than for big business? That is not fair....

I mean, I'm sick of these select companies having power over MY personal information. The rules should be consistent and not favor those who have money to be made from it.

It is based on outdated info. At one time, Equifax would temporarily remove any item that was under dispute on your report. You could literally dispute every negative, wait a few days for them to hide the items and your score to jump, then apply for prime credit cards. It has been nearly 2 years since I disputed anything on Equifax, but they changed their system so that is no longer possible.

They also go into the stuff about Ohio wasn't really a state during some constitutional amendment, so money is not really money, and there is no such thing as debt so they never actually loaned you anything, so you don't have to pay it back..... Someone can try that one and write us from prison to tell us how well the system worked.

Probably talking about the Rapid Rescore that Qtip mentioned. If they pull your report several times to check the results, it is not supposed to hurt your score if done in a close time frame.

PR is right about there being a contingent that thinks money isn't really money. So when you borrow money it's not really money. They are some of the same people that think that income taxes are illegal so you don't have to pay them. I would be very careful with anything from them.

besides, why should anyone PAY for information that is already free. That is the whole reason these forums exist. I don't agree with paying for ANY information that people should be able to access for free--those who try to profit from it are scumbags in my opinion.

I don't even look at the books anymore because I find that our information is more informative.
