I had disputed this on my credit reports like 10 times and they always verified. I finally sent in a complaint to the WV attny generals office.....they responded to the attny general that they had so many people with my last name that they couldnt locate the account. so when i got the news i emailed them see below:

I had a response within hours:

After i got this i emailed them again with my home address and told them there better be a settlement check sent with it otherwise I was going to drag their butts into a WV courtroom........

It says nothing about deleting the tradeline.

oh i put it on there as well.....i just quick wrote it for here.....i told them they had to delete and send a ck cause my rights were violated six ways to sunday

anyone know how long it will take them to actually show as deleted on my cra's i checked today and they are still there.......and i have not heard a peep since i emailed them the settlement ck demand

Timelines will depend on the manner in which they communicate any deletion. It can be bulls-eyed off inside of a half-hour, but generally even with E-OSCAR, 30 days is viewed by most as "reasonable."

So the guy at the Attny Gens office says an attorney is looking at my file as we speak........I wonder what they will do? Will the office sue them? I really have no clue what they will do.

Wait - you had a file opened with the Ag's office, and went around the AG to attempt a settlement?

not exactly.........the ag office told me that crs claimed they couldnt find my record. so i sent them the account # they then replied that the account was closed blah blah the ag's office has copies of the emails........they asked for my address to send a letter that the account was closed. i gave them my address and told them there had better be a settlement ck enclosed as well or i would sue under the fdcpa and fcra which is well within my right to do....ag complaint or not.

so the TL has been deleted off my experian report not sure about the other 2 as i am waiting for them in the mail......i didnt get my settlement ck though.....so i guess i will have to sue for sure if the AG office doesnt do it.
