BoA Class Action Settlement Proposed

If between September 9, 1995 and May 31, 2007, you had (1) a Bank of America non-business checking or savings account, (2) a non-business loan with Bank of America secured by residential real estate (i.e., a mortgage loan); OR (3) a Bank of America branded consumer credit card and a California mailing address for purposes of communicating with Bank of America, you may get part of the proposed settlement.

Check this site for proposed settlement information.

Wow....these settlements really chap my @$%! You have to actually GIVE them business in order to get a benefit from the settlement....basically saying, "Ya, we sold your private info to make a buck, but let us make a bundle of money off your$200,000 mortgage loan, and we'll throw a couple Bennies your way and laugh all the way to the bank! (Oh wait...we ARE the bank!)"

I got a whole $5 credit from Verizon Wireless last year--but I had to use it to buy accessories.

So I have to spend $50 to get $5???

Class actions mainly make money for the attorneys.
