manual dispute with yellow paper and green ink

I was reading on DB by whispering that he/she has heard to force a CRA to do a manual dispute to put your complaint on yellow legal paper and use green ink

The reason stated is they scan the disputes but the scanner can't pick up yellow paper and green ink up so its forced to be manually disputed.

Since the operators are required to dispute so many per hour they usually just delete the TL.

Anyone heard of this before? Does it work?

I don't know if this part is true, but I know they encourage consumers to use white paper and black ink.

This part is more so myth.

I've heard of it, can't say if it works or not. Here is the problem:

Yes they scan the disputes, but the computer is not smart enough to know what is on your paper. The rep scans the dispute for future reference. They keep track of what and how you disputed, otherwise how would they know that you disputed before.

The rep enters a code for the dispute. If you say it is not your account, they enter a corresponding numerical code. The same process applies for ID theft, wrong balance, incorrect date, etc. Only the code is different each time. So if you dispute as not mine, they enter the code and go on their merry way. Probably takes less than a minute to pull your file by SS#, and then enter a code. I doubt they would just delete rather than spending the 30 seconds they would have to go through in a normal type written dispute anyway.

Let's say for a minute it does work. (Feel free to ry and let us know, but I doubt you would ever be able to prove it was that, and not just a coincidence. Maybe try it on an account you disputed several times previously.) I would bet before long, the CRA's would change their policy, just like worthknowing.com is no longer available, just like bumpage still works but is harder to do, just like daily pulls thru 3in1's are harder to find, just like AU's will soon not help your score. I predict if it was valid, it will no longer be useful after it is abused to death by consumers.

Well, it's a first for me because I've never heard of using yellow paper and green ink.

There is a HUGE thread that started this on CB.

It's nice to see that DB is still stealing material without giving credit .

I'm sure they do...but I am left with the impression that they consider the site best known for sharking other people's ideas and work to be nothing more annoying than a gnat.

I find that if I have my pet pteradactal peck out my dispute on a stone tablet Fred Flinstone style, my dispute won't be ignored and will be manually entered because the tablet would crush the scanner.

Debtor/Creditboards, please feel free to steal this idea and start a thread on it.
