Cool Paid medical collection questions

Hello, everyone!

Please help. A medical OC sent me to collections (I.C. Systems) in March '07 for $50, for missed appointments. I didn't know of this bill, or of the CAs involvement until I pulled my credit report 5/07. I immediately paid the OC, and she stated that she would contact the CA for removal. She did, and the CA has still refused to remove (A rude rep advised me of the dr's request to the CA). Next, the CA rep said that the OC has to contact contact her CA rep for removal. I just heard back from the OC again yesterday, and she indicated that she was told by the CA that the item would be removed in "3-6 months."

I have had ongoing problems with this CA. On one hand, they are saying that the OC cannot have the debt removed, but the OC says that she can. Should I now send CMRR to CA to confirm removal and CC the AGs office and BBB in Minnesota, or should I wait? the CRAs claim that the item has been "verified" by the CA.

Thanks for your help. I love this site!

Obtain a letter of confirmation from the physician that on xx/xx/xx CA was told to delete the account from the CRA's.

Once that is in hand, write to the CA telling them that unless the item is removed you will pursue the matter via litigation.

However, unless you are apply for and are denied credit, have a negative adjustment in a credit line or an interest rate increase, all due to the negative reporting of the CA; then you have no damages.
