DW received today a denial from a corporate GE credit card, they stated "lack of business Information". She did not apply for this card, should she go on full blown fraud alert and monitor her file every day?

I pulled her file today and the only inquiry is from this card, last Tuesday.

I agree with jlynn. You can't be too careful at this point.

I would also contact GE and tell them she never applied for the card and see if they will give her any info as to where the application came from--web site, mail, fax, etc.

I'm sure they wouldn't give you fax numbers or anything, but see if they'll give you anything for a police report.
