Haunted by Medical Bills

I am truly haunted by Medical Bills. This is my MAIN problem. These are the only things I have on my credit report....about 8 small medical bills amounting to $1200 total debt.

I recently disuputed two new items that suddenly appeared...from a CA one bill for $305 and another emergency room bill for $26. I disputed and both were deleted from Experian as unverified. I received a letter via snail mail from the Hospital and then another CA offering a 50% settlement. I planned to take the snail mail letter from the Hospital to the Hosp billing dept and pay them off directly.

Before I even got chance to do so....I checked Experian today and I got slammed with 3 new CA entries about these bills from a new collection agency.

How can one CA entry get deleted since it was unverified, and how can it reappear over and over again with another agency? How many times is the Hospital going to sell this account?

I am furious......I had only 8 more negatives to clear up and now I'm back up to 12. I feel like I'm banging my head against a brick wall....

Oh yeah, and Sprint account was deleted but now it is reappearing as Embarq with a recent date as if this was a recent bill.

Go see if you can pay the hospital. Once you do, ask them to recall the debt from all the CAs. Wait a few weeks for them to do this, then dispute. If they come back verified, send a procedural request to the CRAs and get the lawsuits ready.

Well, I hate to say it, but the Post Office has made a small fortune off of me. You have to stick with those letter and start files for each one as I have computer files of letters and documents as well as a file cabinet. Don't be upset, because they will end up paying those medical bills for you.
I have worn the CRAs out and each time a new one pops up I am on their jock. It is time consuming, but IMHO it is worth it.
