Cap One is really nasty

After 10 months and lots of deletions the toughest has been Cap 1 and Hsbc.
I've read all kinds of info on Cap 1 and have tried a few letters and disputes but nothing works. Anyone have anything new to suggest?

They are a tough cookie and a crooked bunch. I think Roybean is involved in litigation with them. Maybe he has some tips, I think that even when you sue them, they put up a good fight.

I think in their case, depending on the CRA that has the listing. Your best bet might be to dispute the account and if you have cause threaten to sue the CRA. some times if you pester the CRA long enough the trade lines disappear. In the past I sent the CRA a letter with an attached complaint giving them 30 days to remove the erroneous listing or I could file the complaint. Sur enough the bogus trade line disappeared.

I've tried disputing with all 3 CRAs a few times. Always came back verified.
Also tried disputing directly to Cap One. That didn't work either.
So I just keep trying every couple months and hope I get lucky.
Maybe I'll try another procedural request and if they don't respond I'll demand deletion.

Demanding deletion with an attached federal complaint usually gets their attention.

Hey, don't demand deletion with a federal complaint...file the damn thing cause that's the only thing they know to respond to and trust me, they hire expensive attorneys, but this can be handled.

Just keep racking up those violations and keep good records and get ready to file.
