| opinions- Not sure if everyone reads all the threads I assume they do but to make sure I need assistance regarding the VA water bill.
Got the run aroud concerning this bill I paid. Finally left message that if necessary I would send a letter to thier attorneys concerning this issue. I did get a call back a few minutes later saying:
While we made an error in the billing address and sent the bill to the wrong address, the law doesn't say I have to recieve the bill.
I know there is case law on people saying I never recieved a notice etc and the CA/JDB/OC justs has to prove they have a procedure in place that they mailed it.
Is this possibly true that a bill mailed to the wrong address is considered mailed and I don't have to recieve it and they have not committed any wrong doing once they were made aware of the "bonafide error" and they didn't fix that error.
I do believe they are giving me the run around as a collection manager he should have been able to tell me that they would pull it or something other than I am looking into it and will contact you when I find the answer.
This would be considered the OC- |
