Hannah, I really appreciate what you have done. I did read what you posted there is a debt set off fee of 25.00 that fee can only be collected if the state collects the money from your taxes.
If they don't collect they can't add the fee. Its a set off fee to the state for collecting.
I called the State thats what they told me and the collector, supervisor and manager of the Western VA Water Authority.
For all I know they did charge me other fees, I never saw a bill I just paid what they said I owed. if the only bill I got was 17.00 for 2 months I doubt my water bill was 50.00 for 3 months. I don't know the real answer.
50.00 for 3 months is extremely reasonable to me, since I pay 100.00 a month for water.
