SCA

Ready to do something about SCA on DW's EX report. My search on the TX SOS site did not show them covered with a bond, even though other SCA-name companies are listed. I do not recall them dunning, been reporting ~2 years with their old address on the report. EQ has verified several times all is correct even though it is their address that I dispute (using large bold type!!), sending copies of the returned envelopes.

Hannah previously led me to SCA's correct address. My goal is a deletion.

Should I write to SCA, pointing out the error of their methods? Should I contact the big guy at EQ, pointing out their errors? Other suggestion?

SCA is a credit servicer for retailers. We do not know who the retailer is in this case.

SCA is an OC, not a third-party collector. No bond is required.

What is the fundamental issue? Address alone ain't going to cut it...

oops, maybe I was mistaken. I thought EQ could be liable for providing false information. I am not talking about info from a provider as the result of an investigation. Hannah says SCA has been gone from the reported address for 9 years. This entry was first reported about 2 years ago. Apparently EQ is dropping the ball somewhere, IF THEY ARE EVEN BOTHERING TO INVESTIGATE. It happens (I have evidence of TU doing this on 5 separate occasions). If I am providing proof that what they are reporting is wrong, and they say "no it's not," what would I do? They say if I still believe that the info is wrong, contact the OC at the address provided. I tried, the letter was returned.

At this point if all they do is correct the addy, the big picture is unchanged. Please advise.

They are not likely going to delete...they will, more than likely, correct the address.

Investigations are done electronically, not via snail mail. But if you really want them to corerct the address, then email the GC. I'd be more inclined to simply call the OC and negotiate the PFD...who knows, they might even reopen the account. My only experience with SCA was when I applied for financing on a Sig Sauer.

I could take out a few vicious Gray Squirrels we have around here with the Blaser LRS2. I'm still a bit partial to the Steyr Aug.

Thanks for the info!

Totally OT, but what model did you get? I'm fluxing between the P226 and the P229. (I'd really like a Wilson Combat .45, but it's quite a bit out of my price point.)

They rejected the app...it was made online, and I was not really certain if I was going to get one or not- I was looking to add to utilization through available credit. Unfortunately, they were an EXP pull. EQ or TU, it would have been in the bag as an approval.

At the time, I was looking for something smaller to use as a carry piece in the event that I actually opted to get a CHL.
