dunning letter w/o miranda

A few days ago I received a dunning/settlement letter without the required mini-miranda from a local collection attorney. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I should word my validation letter?

Is this the first contact? The mini-miranda is required on first letter but not thereafter. Here is an example of what a validation letter could look like.

More information is necessary. Who is the OC, has the account actually gone to a third-party for collections, is the local guy one that is involved in the collections end of the equation or does he simply litigate? And lastly...is this consumer debt?

I generally assume (i know i know) that you probably threw away the initial notice. The 1692g requirement is the easiest to comply with because it's spelled out exactly what must be typed. Any major CA will comply with this, even the CA-lawfirms.

The letter I received was the initial written communication. I got the letter about six days after they had left a message on my answering machine. The attorneys are working for the OC and are trying to collect on a medical debt that my insurance company would have paid if the doctor's billing had done their job right. In fact, the attorney wants me to make out the check to the OC.
