What now?

I requested validation from a CA. In Saturday's mail, I received a copy of one statement from the OC, to which was stapled a sheet from the CA. On the sheet from the CA was listed my name, SSN, previous addresses, and then it had listed the amount on the statement from the OC and then a line item that said "agency interest," and then their "total."

What should my next steps be?

Was it from the OC or the CA? If it is from the OC, this is non compliance as the statute says that the CA is OBTAIN and forward to the debtor.

FDCPA doesn't say obtain and forward or either you can have the oc send it to the debtor....when in doubt the plain language of the statute is what the courts go by.

I am not sure I understand the question.

I received a response from the CA. It had a copy of a statement from the OC and then a sheet from the CA with a line item "agency interest" and then "total."

Sorry, sometimes I am thinking something and I think my fingers have typed it because I was thinking it....I asked if it was from the collection agency or did it come from the original creditor?

This correspondence came from the CA. Is this proper validation? What should I do next?

It appeas to be proper validation. Do you have another thread somewhere, because without more information, I can't suggest what you should do next?
