It's in the 10 commandments,
Thou shalt not cast stones upon a fellow man's good or sub-par credit whatever thy case shall be if doth information is false and misleading.

Neil, read and re-read the FCRA. Everything you need to know is in there, trust me. I don't have time to look up it up right now but a CRA can be held liable for any inaccurate information. Lots of caselaw on this. You probably have a TX statute barring this as well.

The Texas statute is decent, once you get to court, but read it carefully as it does have some differences from the FCRA. (Like CRA's have 30 business days to complete a dispute.)
Its Chapter 20 of the Texas Business and Commerce Code.
What kind of false/misleading info are you talking about anyway?

A report that is split in two parts for no apparent reason. Could be construed a false and misleading. Some info is duplicated. I have requested on three occasions to please explain why, or to re-combine it. This is not the only thing I am going after, things like not really investigating when they said they did.
Drivel, which commandment? thou shall not be hard to deal with?

Have you gotten past the first line of phone drones yet? Any particular CRA?

TU. I have not bothered with the phone because I have things worth $$$ that a call won't solve. Seems my letters and calls just get ignored anyway, court filings are the only way to get their attention.

you left out the second part of the commandment that states
" for when thou DOHHH!st( as homer would say) report false witness against thy brethren ,thou shalt be judged by the same measure and since thou shalt do all things as unto Christ therefore thou shalt cast stones to the best of your ability according to the talent that He has given you..for some He has given a powerful arm and for others(girls) not so powerful...but the power to smite thee with words has He given to women...and multiple orgasms....

Neil, what you have is called a split file. It happens when you dispute a lot or have a ton of inquiries whether they be soft or hard or you have a variation your name used or a variation of SS# or even a creditor reporting a new addy for you. You will need to write to the CRA (legal department recommended) to get this taken care of. Probably have to send SS# and copy of DL to them to prove it's you to get it fixed.
