anyone recognize DEN Enterprises?
A suspect charge appeared on one of my CC's with a post date of yesterday in the amount of $9.55. Unfortunately, it is one of the accounts that does not have a lot of information available in the online transactions log, so I don't know where these people are located.
There is minimal information that I found in the search I just did on GOOG, but it appears that they just started to surface within the past month or so with most of the reports showing bogus/suspect charges in the amounts between $9.55 and $9.65.
In reviewing the automated payments associated with this account, I found nothing new that would have contained fine print authorizing one of the "extra' services and all of those accounts have been set on auto-pay on this card for a couple of years.
Ordinarily I might have written it off to a delayed posting from recent travel except this card got no use in NOLA or Corpus. In fact, it has seen little use since I parked a 0% BT over there.
If anyone has some insight, please share. I only found the one other site with information but nobody could really say anything about the charge or company other than it appeared to report as a POS transaction.

Have you contacted your credit card company? I have had charges I didn't recognize, and sometimes it's a DBA. When I called customer service they had the full name of the company and what their business was.
It's been a few years, but I would think they could still do that. Mine was with BoA, but certainly all banks must have this info. They could keep folks from filing disputes by having such information readily available.

Just got off the phone with the bank...company claims to be based in Illinois and is classified as Hobby/Game. Only a toll-free number that goes to a voice mail that does not identify the owner of the box. It is safe to say that this is not a purchase I authorized...
Card is now de-activated and a replacement is enroute.

With that charge disputed in writing, of course.

"I just got the bill today (Sat. 12-1) with a charge of $9.65 to my credit card. Apparently this Den Enterprises is a game/hobby store. I called the credit card company, but the office that handles this is not opened, I need to call back on Monday."
There are a lot of posts here that discuss this:
(877) 487-4751
This number is mentioned, 877-487-4751.
Not much substantive information but a start.

spinn, I saw that site...that was the ONLY site I could find. The toll-free number matched up to what my issuer gave me for contact information. Letter goes out to the Illinois SOS tomorrow given that the bank is claiming that the company is in Illinois but yet there is no current listing for DEN Enterprises...there was one years ago, but they dissolved during 1999.
They picked the wrong person to mess with...
