Validation?

Hello everyone and happy new year. I sent out a debt validation package to a collection agency and all they sent me back were some old bills and a letter stating they received my letter disputing the accuracy they determine the debt to be valid. This is not validation to me and I want to know does anyone have a letter stating that the information that was sent is not validation? Or should I just send them a cease and decist letter?

Depending on your state and federal jurisdiction, the information provided may be sufficient to continue collection and began legal proceedings.

Is the debt OOS, is it still with the OC or a JDB?

If that dollar amount on the final statement matches what is being sought, then in many courts, you will be behind the 8-ball. Old statements reflecting use of a card and that match a claim and where there is no evidence of an FCBA dispute at the time of the statement are usually viewed bu the courts as compelling...

I agree. If they've proven the amount and have something to show that it's your debt, that is validation.

There have been letters floating around various forums for years asking for everything but the kitchen sink. There is no requirement for them to send it, only to prove that it's your debt, the amount is correct, and they have a right to collect.
