Vital Advice?
Hello All,
Thank you Pale Rider, JLynne and the host of others that have helped me with the issues I had on my other thread. Well, as far as my new plan of attack...... I have decided to send all of the "collection agencies" validation requests. IE: interest, original signed proof...and so on. As well as any inquiry, I am in the Army and have been in Iraq so I am also asking that inquiries be removed via request letters that will be sent CMRR. Does this seem to be good angle to take? Any, and I mean any, advice or opinion would greatly help. It is great to see everyone on here taking a stand and helping others out.

Are you still in Iraq?

Well, I am not now. But for inclusive purposes, I was and some of the inquiries were made while I was there.

I am, in fact, still active. I am just trying to get everything clean. What kind of insight can you provide?

But my entire credit report is being hindered by collection agencies. As far as inquiries, believe I can remove some of those regardless. I am guessing that as far as the inquiries, they cannot dispute whether or not I was deployed. I am not sure how the SCRA would help me.

Notify the collectors and CRAs that you are active military and do it by certified mail.

How would I do that? I have drafted up the validation letters. I would assume I am still going to send them. As far as these, do you believe they will make a difference?

I was told that the validation letters are a very powerful tool in that they force the CA to find the original information as well as numerous other things that would make it validated.

Since you are still active, see your JAG officer.

I have once, basically he said that these debts are mine and somehow have to be paid. That is why I figured with the validation latters, I would be handling it effectively. Do you agree? Realistically, what can be done?

Anything? Would sending the validation letters prove to be effective? As well as the inquiry disputes to each company?
