Freedman, Anselmo Attorney CA

Has anyone had any experience (I've been to their website) actually dealing with those folks? They are apparently out of the Napierville/Chicago IL area...

Anyone?

They seem to file a LOT of lawsuits on behalf of several infamous JDBs in the Northern Illinois and Eastern Iowa area(s)

Thanks, Hannah....anyone else ever deal with or hear of those guys?....

The fact that the file could simply be an indication that they DO spend time in the courthouse on the back end of the process. The fact that their client is a JDB does not mean that they are in the same category as the rent-a-shingle where the name appears only on letterhead.

Well, it's now been almost a week since they dismissed in the WRONG state.

If nothing else, they seem to have been disturbed with the fact that I came back at them with a LAWYER....

Waiting for them to file in MY state is maddening...Thank God for online case information!

Did you look at any of their cases in your area? If so what kind of outcomes of these cases have you seen? Mostly defaults? You might ask your local court clerk what kind of rep they have and that would give you a pretty good idea what you are up against as clerks usually know.

Their pattern is the same as elsewhere.

TONS of filings, mostly defaults...There is one case for $11,000 that is a DEFAULT!
Yikes!

I have found many filings, can't find any where consumers "won." I did find TWO where consumers, through motions and continuances, managed to drag things out for well over a year.

Keep looking for their Achilles heel...did they prove the debt in any of the cases you have looked at? What kind of evidence was attached to any of the complaints?
