120 Days Past Due- What Violation Is It

Im sure this has been discussed before but i havent seen an answer to it. From what ive read CA's are not supposed to report late anything (days) but they do. What if any violations are they commiting by reporting 120 days late. Is there any information that can point me in the right direction on what a CA is suppose to and not suppose to report? What fields are they allowed to fill in by law and which ones are they not. Any info would be appreciated.

If you are looking at any other report other than one directly from each of the bureaus individually, you cannot rely on the "120 days late" notations you are seeing. They are likely not reporting that way.
