Alert showed me something new has been reported. Sure enough it was. RJM has just placed a 72.00 collection on my report without even sending me a dunning or anything.
Should my first step be sending them a dv and disputing after they get my envelope or just send them a nasty letter asking why would they just report something without even giving me a chance to see what it is?

Yes. Same thing happened to me for $60. I informed them politely that I did not know what it was for, please provide me with information, if unable to do so, please delete. It was gone when the next reporting cycle came around.
