BK Creditor's Matrix

In order to lodge a Fair Credit Billing Act dispute with a creditor, you must put it in writing and mail it to the address the creditor lists for such disputes.

Recently I have noticed that creditors are placing a "Bankruptcy Notification" address on their billing statements or contracts.

When you fill out the creditors matrix you include the creditors name, address and the last 4 digits of the account number. But the form does not specify which address.

Locally there has been an increase in challenges from creditors after the 341 meeting has already passed. The creditors are claiming that they were not properly notified. By lodging a challenge in court, additional court costs are incurred as well as additional attorney fees.

Be certain you have the proper address.
