| There is this theory out there about an account being 'frozen' if you request validation from one and then it gets bumped to the next ca, but I would still request validation from each and everyone to protect your rights.

Otherwise, except as governed by state laws in the matter, collection activities may continue.
Notwithstanding any claims that notice to the first third-party entity should carry to any successor entities, it remains that one is more apt to have a claim to preservation of rights by sending the requisite notice to the new player. And, by making it very clear that notice was given to the entity they acquired it from, you may see the subsequent player disappear entirely by bouncing it back to the predecessor entity.
The key to quick closure is in the use of something other than generic letters from the web...

I have heard that, but when this has happened to me I send out another DV and then another (not the form letters most have) which is always the last one I do, and if I get no validation then at least I have a paper trail when I go to court.
I should say in 2 instances they went away and TL was deleted as well.
So far each case the judge or magistrate has looked at my paperwork and my green cards and they ask WHY did you not give this girl proof. Then they come up with some stupid little piece of paper, and I win the case. : )
Oh if it was so easy always...

| Both times it happened to me I used Butch's letter for subsequent CA. It seemed to do the trick as both sent me letters saying their account was closed. |

| I have also used Butch's 'Subsequent CA Letter' multiple times with 100% success, including multiple times to the Sherman hydra. |
